The test was developed based on the Common European Framework, a widely accepted standard for grading an individual's language proficiency.
Before you start the test, please assess your knowledge of the language. The descriptions of the six levels should offer some guidance in finding the suitable starting level.
The test consists of exercises examining the listening and reading comprehension as well as grammar and expression.
At the end of each test level, you will be asked whether or not you would like to continue (given that you have reached the required score to proceed). If you did not meet the level requirements, the test is completed and the end result will be shown online and sent to you via e-mail. The score determines your current level of the language and helps you to find a suitable course.
